Karen Huxley - Holistic Therapies

Karen is highly qualified in a range of holistic therapies and passionate about her work. Originally qualified in Holistics in 2000, Karen has gone on to develop her skills in a wide range of therapies, including:
- Sports Massage
- Indian Head Massage
- Reiki 1st and 2nd degree
- Shiatsu
- Advanced therapy Levels 1 and 2
- Hot Stone Therapy
- Laser/IPL
(Karen has also taken numerous courses at the Darian Pritchard Training Institute).
Keeping up to date with all the latest developments, Karen is a Member of IIHHT (International Institute of Health & Holistic Therapists), MICHT (International Council of Holistic Therapists) and FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists).
In addition to her work at Defy Time, she also provides holistic therapy services to the physically disabled and adults with special needs.
More recently, Karen has also qualified as a Laser/IPL practitioner at Defy Time and has gained her 'Core of Knowledge' accreditation, which qualifies her to work with lasers and IPL equipment. Karen also undertakes continuous in-house training in Laser /IPL under the tutelage of Defy Time’s Dr Alan Jones and Katie Schaverien.
